Within her first year of private practice, Jean successfully obtained tens of thousands of dollars in settlement and judgment awards and closed nearly 30 properties in the New York and New Jersey area.

Prior to entering private practice, Jean worked for prominent residential and commercial real estate developers, including Blesso Properties, known for its award-winning design portfolio and eco-conscious development team, and TDR Equities, Inc., a parent corporation that owns, develops and manages several highly-rated restaurants in the Lincoln Center, Upper West Side area of Manhattan.

She also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Shirley W. Kornreich in New York State Supreme Court overseeing civil trials and drafting handfuls of judicial opinions published in the Court Records. She gained extensive trusts and estates experience through her work at The MacLean Law Firm and Estates for Lifemates, a boutique firm providing alternative estate plans for non-traditional families.

Jean received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a double major in finance and marketing, from Boston University’s School of Management and her Juris Doctor from New York Law School, where she served as Vice President of the Student Bar Association, managing editor of the Global Human Rights Bulletin and as an Executive Editor on the Moot Court Association.

Upon Jean’s commencement, she was commemorated with the “Best Advocate Award,” which honors one graduate each year for his or her successes in moot court competitions across the country. She was also honored as a member of the National Moot Court Team.

Jean is a first-generation American born in Philadelphia to Taiwanese parents and raised in the suburbs of southern New Jersey. She is an avid world traveler and has since lived in Boston and Australia, but now considers New York her home.
